A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State tagged Senator Adamu Aliero’s Group on Wednesday night said it has decided to support the Governorship ambition of the Senate Majority Leader, Dr Yahaya Abdullahi.
While addressing journalists at the residence of Senator Aliero in Birnin Kebbi, spokesperson of the group, Alhaji Sani Dododo said Senator Abdullahi is the right candidate for the governorship ticket of APC in Kebbi state based on his track records.
“He is experience, dedicated, intelligent and above all one of the outstanding figure in the senate. Its no doubt that he will bring his experience to bear in the governance of Kebbi state.
“He has obtained the governorship form , fill it, and submitted it. Today, (Thursday) he is expected to participate in the governorship primary election,” Dododo said.
He said Kebbi State is blessed with educated people, llamas, politicians of repute, worthy royal fathers, and good followers and citizens which in all has helped the state to wax stronger in every political situation. And the leaders have the love of Kebbi state and that of APC in their hearts.
“For this, Kebbi needs someone who loves the state and Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi is that person. I called on APC delegates to make sure they elect him because he is the best”, he said.
Dododo said there are plans by some criminal elements to disrupt the governorship primary election.
“We realized they have recruited some criminal elements to cause havoc but we want to warn here that we will resist such moves”, Dododo said
