Ganduje Bids Farewell To 405 Intending Pilgrims To The Holy Land

…urges them to pray for security and unity of Nigeria

The Khadimul Islam,  Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje,  has bid farewell to 405 intending pilgrims going to perform religious obligations to the Holy Land in Saudi Arabia.

The intending pilgrims left Kano to Saudi Arabia via Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA)  early Tuesday morning. 

The AUTHORITY reports that Ganduje, who was re0resented by his Deputy and governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2023 election,  Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, urged them to be good ambassadors of the country through obeying the laws of the Holy Land.

Ganduje  further admonished them to conduct themselves according to the tenets and guidelines of the Hajj exercise which they were tutored for  for  18  months.

The Governor assured that the State Government has made adequate arrangements for their welfare,security and comfort,right from Nigeria up to the holy land.

He, however, called on the intending pilgrims to pray for the country to overcome the security challenges bedevilling it.

More so,  the Executive Secretary of the State Pilgrims Board, Alhski Muhammad Abba Dambatta, appreciated the support given by the Governor towards provision of adequate accommodation to enhance the welfare and comfort of the pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.

He also thanked the Governor for all the support he rendered to ensure the success and smooth conduct of the exercise.

Dambatta also explained that the departing 405 intending pilgrims from the State would land in Madinah.
