The Campaign Organization of Juryil in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State and supporters of Hon. Lengwe Wushanka, former aspirant for Kanke State Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly under the platform of the Peopled Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to work in unison from house to house to deliver the party’s governorship candidate, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang during the 2023 general elections.
Leader of the campaign organization, Hon. Lengwe Wushanka who led hundreds of his supporters on a courtesy visit to Barr. Mutfwang at his resident in Jos, assured the candidate and the PDP of their preparedness to work for the success of the party in 2023.
He lamented how PDP candidates in Kanke were rejected in the past in favour of some persons in a different political party and insisted that the time is now to enthrone PDP to power in Kanke and Plateau State at large.
“We want to tell you that politics is like thrift collections. We have not forgotten what happened to our brother who contested the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam House of Representatives position in 2019. As a result of that history, the PDP family in Kanke (LGA) will only vote PDP in 2023. We will support you fully and we are ready to work to deliver you.” He declared.
Hon. Wushanka described Mutfwang as an embodiment of humility and a trusted fellow whose leadership quality, transparency and inclusiveness has endeared several persons to the party.
Eminent PDP stalwarts who spoke at the event, Hon. John Kassam, Hon. Zakaria and the Local Government party youth Leader all rejoiced with Barr. Mutfwang on his victory as the party’s governorship candidate and said his emergence marked the beginning of journey to New Government House Rayfield.
They expressed determination to rally round the party, work for it and vote all candidates to ensure their success in the 2023 election.
The gubernatorial hopeful, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang while responding, thanked members of the organization for finding time to visit him and declare their unalloyed support to the PDP and his candidacy.
Mutfwang decried the fractionalization of the party in Kanke LGA and assured that everything possible within the ambit of the law would be done to go into the poll as a family.
“I sincerely thank you for coming today and appreciate your solidarity. I want to assure you that I am not taking your support for granted and I will continuously cherish it.
“I must tell you honestly, that the fractionalization of the party in your Local Government Area is not helping us in anyway. Therefore, we must do all we can to end that cycle so we can focus our attention on winning the elections ahead of us”.
He appreciated Plateau people for the support given to him so far and assured that everybody and every section of the state would be given sense of belonging in the rebuilding of Plateau State if trusted with the mandate.
