The Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Ginika Tor has assured the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima victory at the February Presidential election.
The Commissioner gave the assurance while inaugurating the support group coordinators known as “Igbo Kwenu for Tinubu/Shettima” in Abuja.
According to her there is no any other Presidential candidate with leadership credentials that can match that of Tinubu.
She espoused that the Igbos were committed in strengthening the unity and the support for Tinubu/Shettima that would bring about their integration into National governance.
Addressing the six Zonal coordinators and 36 state coordinators of Igbo Kwenu for Tinubu/Shettima, Ginika Tor said, “we are ready to move, we growing in strength and unity, we are ready to move with one voice to deliver Tinubu/Shettima and victory is assured for them.”
Asked how she intends to achieve what she has set out to achieve giving the fact that Igbo don’t vote for APC, she said, “When you focus on your challenges you miss all you need to do. All you need to do is to focus on your product. We are saying that we have gone beyond that ethnic and religious bias. Prior to the emergency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu l spoke and stood for Igbo presidency but at the point that my party has come up with a Presidential Candidate and not just anybody but somebody like Tinubu with credentials.”
On the issue of complaints over the composition of the Presidential Campaign Council, she said, “not everybody would be on the Presidential Campaign Council. What party members need to do is to go and work on their own for the victory of the party.
Asked the projection of voted she is expecting to get from Igbos for Tinubu/Shettima, the Commisioner said, “We are going to have Igbo votes. Igbos should have realized by now that they have been wasting their votes voting for PDP. Look at all these years they have been given their votes to PDP, what did they get from that. We will have large number of votes from the Igbos all over the country but we cannot expose ourselves and state all our strategies here.”
Among the dignitaries that attended the inauguration were: Senator Binta Masi Garba,
Representative of the Minister of State for Labour, Hon. Ikemefule, Commisioners from Federal Character Commission (FCC), Representative of Governor of Imo State, Dr. Jimmy Imo and Chief Emma Ogbonna.
