Kano LP Guber Candidate Refutes Rumour Of Defection To APC

The Kano governorship candidatate of the Labour Party (LP) in Kano State, Engr. Bashir I. Bashir, has debunked rumours of his defection to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), insisting that he is still in the race under the party’s banner.

He described as a lie, reports that he has defected to APC, a party he left to actualize his gubernatorial ambition.

Engr. Muazu Magaji, former Commissioner foe works in Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration had announced on his facebook page that he and Engr. Bashir had gone back to APC.

But in a swift reaction, the LP gubernatorial candidatate said, “Muazu Magaji was nothing but a confused Person who cannot defined exactly what he wants in his life.

“The picture circulated by Muazu Magaji was one taken two years ago when alongside Jaafar Sani and two other person’s under the umbrella of Kano Non Partisan group were searching for a way out in thier Political lives and the feature of the State.”

Responding in a telephone interview with journalists, Engr Bashir, recalled that, “same Muazu Magaji was detained sometimes ago for lying against the State Governor, Ganduje who was so good to him for appointing him on several positions including a State Commissioner.

“How can this Person could taken serious, when everybody knows that he has some undefined problems with his life”.

“Just yesterday I spent two hours doing teleconference with the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates of our Party, discussing modalities on how to wins not only Kano but the entire North, how than somebody from no where could lie to me?”
