Terror alert: UAG expresses confidence in military, says Nigerians must remain resolute

The Unity Advocacy Group has expressed confidence that the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies will respond adequately to recent travel advisory issued by the United States and United Kingdom governments.

UAG in a press statement on Friday said Nigerians must not be deterred, saying the enemies of the country will definitely lose the war to the determination of troops of AFN.

The release signed by the Convener, Ifeanyi Aigbedion said not long ago Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) neutralized 49 Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in the Bama-Mandara-Damasak axis of Borno state.

“We are gradually witnessing the return of our sisters kidnapped in Chibok

“There are 11 Chibok girls rescued in the 2022 joint operations, it may not be going the way we want it, but their rescue show hope is not lost

“The total number of surrendered terrorists along with their families as a result of military operations stood at 81, 131.

“We urge Nigerians to remain resolute, prayerful and alert to the antics of those who want to take our peace.

“UAG is assured that the Armed Forces under Gen. LEO Irabor are able to respond appropriately,” the group added.
