CP Mamman Dauda Pays Homage To Emir Of Kano

Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mamman Dauda has promised the Emir of Kano, His Highness, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero that he will ensure adequate security of lives and property in the state.

He also commissioned the Emir Palace Divisional Police headquarters constructed by the Nigeria Police Force.

This he did while paying homage to the Royal Father.

The 44th Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, informed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero that the Police Division was constructed by the Nigeria Police Force under the able leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR.

He furrher stated that he visited the historical Royal Palace to introduce himself to the Emir as the newly posted Commissioner of Police and to seek prayers, cooperation and fatherly advice to effectively police Kano State.

He said, in this era of Community Policing, on arrival, he obtained briefs from the Kano State Governor, His Excellency, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR, (Kadimul-Islam), his predecessor and the Police Command’s Management Team of the continuous support given to the Command by all the traditional institutions in the State.

“We will continue to work to the best of our ability to ensure peaceful coexistence in the State. Thank you for the fatherly and warmest reception, your Highness,” He said.

In this remarks, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, welcomed the Commissioner of Police, stating, “we assure you of the support, prayers and assistance of all the traditional institutions in the State.

“Our doors are always open for you. Kano is a new environment for you. Having heard of your Biography, you have vast experience in policing.

“I, therefore, urge you to work and contribute your quota in making Kano State safe. Operate with the fear of God and you will succeed. We pray may Almighty Allah guide, protect and help you to succeed. Our prayers are always with you.”

The Emir offered prayers to the Commissioner of Police for a successful tenure in Kano State.

The Commissioner of Police also assisted by His Highness, the Emir of Kano ably represented by Walin Kano, Alhaji Bashir Mahe, commissions Emir’s Palace Divisional Police Headquarters constructed by the Nigeria Police Force.

While handing over the key to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Emir’s Palace Division, CSP Jibrilla Sulaiman, charged the officers posted to the Division to operate with fear of God and worked diligently according to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Police Act, 2020, respect Human Rights, Rule of Law and work according to international best practices.
