Clergy urges Nigerians to vote credible leaders

By Abubakar Yakubu in Lafia

The Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Oliver Ali Baba, has called on Nigerians to vote only credible persons with good leadership qualities during the 2023 general elections to take the country out of her worsening security situation.

The clergy, who gave the advise in a chat with newsmen shortly after the inauguration of the Lafia Diocese of the Methodist Church of Nigeria in Lafia recently, lamented that the country has never had it so bad in terms of security and he called on people to have the fear of God as well as do the right things. The prelate also noted that the country needs to move to the next level to better people’s lives and secure a prosperous future for unborn Nigerians.

According to him, God has given Nigeria everything it takes to make her great and advised against embarrassment.

The clergy also called on Nigerians to be prayerful towards a peaceful election and for God to direct them wisely to choose good leaders
