The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), in Enugu East Senatorial district, Enugu state, hes embarked on .Ward to unit and Door to door’ campaign, to ensure the candidates of the party excel in the February 25 and March 11,general elections.
Towards this direction, the deputy Director General (Enugu East）Deacon Okey Ogbodoyesterday inaugurated a 10 member committee thav will facilitate engagement with the grassroots of Obeagu ward 3 in Enugu South local government area in Enugu East senatorial district.
He tasked them to be humble but rerolute in their approach to convince the electorates to still vote for the candidates of PDP.assuring that the party consolidate on the giant strides impacted by Governor Ugwuanyi,with Peter Mbah as his successor.
The inauguration which took place at Comprehensive primary school Obeagu field also featured a solidaqity rally in support of PDP candidates in the election by a group known as ‘Greater Obeagu Political Movement’
The jconvener of the group, Hon Duke Nwafor, explained that the membership of the movement are drawn from both APC. PDP, APGA and Labour Party, who after several weeks of brain stormhjng came to the conclusion the PDP remains the most organised and focussf party in the state and will vote for its jcandidates in the coming elections but with high expectation that the party will take steps in solving the socio infrastructural problems of the community.
Deacon Ogbodo commended the group over their rerolve to vote for only candidates of PDP in the elections,
He stressed that PDP has been the rul4ng party in Enugu state and from all ineications will still maintain the record in the 2023 general ekection.
He cautioned they cannot afford to ae in oqosition but with their unity in PDP. the coming of Peter Mbah administration by the special grace of God, will integrate the various deficiencies of Obeagu communities in his administration,s blue print for economic development of all rural arrdeas gkn the state
