The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has urged the people of Kebbi State to give him a chance to create a new Nigeria where people will have equal opportunities
While addressing supporters of the party at the race course in Birnin Kebbi he said for the eight years of the APC administration all it has achievd was to produced insecurity, poverty, corruption and hunger for people of Nigeria
Obi said that APC and PDP parties had failed, insisting that Nigerians should give the LP a chance for the needed change.“We want you to hold us responsible for a new Nigeria. For a long time people have wasted the future of Nigerians and we cannot continue like that.“We will secure and restore Nigeria to what it should be,” he said.Obi, who lamented the security challenges in Birnin Kebbi and other parts of Nigeria, said his administration would restore the people’s hope and ensure that no Nigerian stayed in displaced persons’ camps
“We must agree to take over from them. Nigeria is blessed it’s people should be able to feed themselves.but people are hungry, there is poverty everywhere because of misrule”.
The labour presidential candidate added that Nigerians need to have a country where they can move freely and their children can go to school and feed well without being subjected to sufferings.
“The office of the President of Nigeria should be based on experience, competence, commitment and capacity. All these I have and I promise to bring them to bear if you vote for me”, he said.
He also promise the electorates that he would review salaries and pension of civil servant retirees if elected president. “We can only do these things with your support and vote”, he appealed to them.
