Arewa youth leaders endorse Peter Obi for Presidency

Representatives of 56 Youth organizations from across the 19 Northern states have endorsed the presidential candidacy of Mr Peter Obi.

They made this known on Thursday at the Arewa House Multipurpose Hall, Kaduna a 2 day town hall meeting..

Amb. Bilal Tijjani Paki, Director Special Duties who spoke on behalf of the organizations, said Arewa Youth Council, Arewa citizens Watch for Good Governance, Sir Ahmadu Youth Council of Nigeria among others, have officially endorsed the Candidature and successful presidency of Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We wish to call on all Northerners and Nigerians irrespective of our religion, tribe or status, to support Mr. Peter Obi for a greater tomorrow. We as electorates are the ones to decide who becomes the next President. We are the strength, the wings and the decision makers that can power the historic change of Nigerian situation.

“We must come out to stand solidly behind Mr Peter Obi to end the suffering and growing helplessness in the country especially the ones caused by the artificial fuel scarcity, corruption, insecurity and Naira scarcity. We wish to call on all our members who are spread in millions across the 19 states of the North to come out on the 25th February, 2023 to cast their votes for him.

“We are Urging Arewa citizens to keep faith with us as we believe that he have the courage and the heart with which to deliver the dividends of democracy freely and fairly to our people an we assure you that where he fail, we would lead at the forefront to hold him responsible; where he succeed, we will all say kudos to him with a Big Thank You.

He said the resolution was taken “for the unity, progress and prosperity of Nigeria knowing fully that the next President should come from the South and if objective selection should be made; that would be Mr Peter Obi.”
