Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammad Yakubu, has expressed satisfaction over preparations and distribution of sensitive and non-sensitive election materials by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Ambassador Abdu Zango.
The police boss lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for proper planning.
He made the commendation while supervising the distribution of INEC sensitive materials to the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.
“I appreciate you for proper planning and a job well done,” the Police boss told Kano REC.
The REC also commended the Police for their seriousness and successful escort of the election materials across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.
CP Muhammad Yakubu alongside the Command’s Management Team for the 2023 General Election also paid a visit to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone , Kano, AIG Bello Sani Dalijan.
In his remarks, AIG Sani Bello Dalijan, charged the Commissioner of Police and his management to ensure supervision of the police officers deployed for the election duties.
He also obtained briefs from the Commissioner of Police on the level of preparedness ahead of the 25 February, 2023, Presidential and National Assembly elections.
