Thugs disrupt voting in Gwagwalada

By Daniel Tyokua

Thugs have been reported to have disrupted voting exercise in Gwagwalada, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Trouble stated when yet to be arrested thugs stormed polling units at Madam Mercy road and begun intimidating the INEC ad-hoc staff in the headquarters of Gwagwalada Area Council.

They scattered the electoral materials and wounded the ad-hoc staff, who are mostly NYSC members.

A video sent in by one of the voters, showed security officials and some electorate running for safety.

There was no response from the FCT police Command or other security personnel on duty as of the time of filling this report.
