Form an all-inclusive government of unity, NCP counsels President elect

The Leadership of the National Conscience Party (NCP) has urged the President elect in the February 25 Presidential Election in Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to form an all-inclusive government of unity.

“As a leader and Unifier, the NCP would want to urge that you start building the bridge of unity amongst all Nigerians and most especially with the opposition Parties. Please, institute an all-inclusive unity government come May 29 2023. We are not unmindful of the deliberate obstacles thrown your way from within and outside your party, APC.”

The party leadership made this known in a congratulatory message signed by Comrade Adebola Lateef, National General Secretary; Pastor Peters Omoragbon, National Deputy Chairman (South-South); and Comrade Waheed Lawal, Acting National Chairman, described Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a great leader and unifier.

According to a release, the Congratulatory message read in part “The Leadership of the National Conscience Party on behalf of the entire members of the Party worldwide sends their warm felicitations to His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the just concluded Presidential elections held on February 25, 2023.”

The party leadership stated that the party is happy to have endorsed Asiwaju for the position based on his competence, consistency, capacity and commitment especially as a former governor of the greatest state in Nigeria and a front-runner in the struggle for Nigeria’s current democracy. “The National Conscience Party is happy to have endorsed and promoted your candidacy as our candidate based on your competence, consistency, capacity and commitment from your track records of excellent performance as an elected Senator, Governor of the greatest state in Nigeria and a front-runner in the struggle for Nigeria’s current democracy.”

The National Conscience Party which is the first political party to congratulate the president elect said “We are assured that the above qualities will be brought to bear on your new role as the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria come May 29, 2023,” the party leadership stated.

The letter further read “Suffice to observe that with the magnitude of treacherous forces deployed through rays of negativity against you, the partisanship of a section of some religious leaders in Nigeria and the deliberate manipulation of the youths using the end-SARS crisis as a springboard against you, but God kept you standing as the only man to beat. You defeated all these forces.

“Once again, accept our hearty congratulations and to the Vice President Elect, Senator Kashim Shettima,” the letter read.
