Garba,  INEC Administrative Secretary In Kano Retires After 35 Years Of Meritorious ServiceFrom Maduabuchi Nmeribeh,  Kano

Emotions were high at the Kano headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Tuesday, when the Administrative Secretary,  Malam Garba Lawal Muhammad bid farewell to the management and staff of INEC, as he proceeds on retirement after 35 years of meritorious service.

A seasoned adminsitartor, Garba served INEC In different capacities, including Director of Public Affairs of the Commission in Kano,  before his retirement.

Years flowed freely among the management and staff of INEC In Kano as Garba delivered his farewell message in a brief ceremony.

He thanked  all those whose worked with him throughout his years in service to the nation.

Garba said, “everything that has a  beginning has an end. Today,  Tuesday 14th March, 2023 marked  the end of my 35 years of service to the Commission.

“It was a journey that was full of mixed feelings, a journey that transformed me at different stages of my  life. However, despite the enormous challenges, God in his infinite mercies made it possible for me to face and surmount them.”

He added that: “All these  would’nt have been possible without the conducive working environment provided by the Commission as well as the support, guidance and cooperation I have  received  from you all at the commission.

“On this note , I would like to sincerely extend my appreciation to you all for standing by me in  every situation. I found myself, I am short of words with which  to express my  profound appreciation to the Hon. National Commissioner supervising Kano, Jigawa and Katsina States Prof. Abdullahi Abdu Zuru and my former teacher in the person of Amb. Zango A. Abdu mni Hon. Resident Electoral Commissioner Kano State for their fatherly support and guidance.

” To all the HODs, it has been a great working synergy worthy of appreciation, I most sincerely thank you all for your support, understanding and cooperations. To my comrades (The Electoral Officers), I thank you all for your tolerance and tireless cooperations, to all members of staff of the Commission, I thank you all.

“For those that I might have offended knowingly or unknowingly, I would like to ask for your forgiveness,  for me I have forgiven you all and i wish you a successful and happy completion of your term of  service to fatherland too.”
