As part of their efforts to ensure that the alleged gross irregularities and manipulations witnessed during the last Presidential/National Assemblies elections are judiciously addressed, team of lawyers working for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has over the weekend inspected the election materials used for the February 25th presidential election in the State.

Okeomanews gathered that the team of lawyers were at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral commission in Owerri, the state capital to inspect the materials.

The team led by Barr. Emeka Onyeaka  was at the State headquarters of the Independent National Electoral commission in Owerri, the state capital to inspect the materials. 

According to an impeccable source from INEC, Sir Mathias Duruji ” Mr. Peter Obi’s legal team were at INEC office in Owerri over the weekend on inspection of election materials used for the just concluded presidential election.

Other members of the legal team included:, L.U.N. Nwakaeti, Esq., T.A. Umoru, Esq., Peter Oduba, Esq., Calistus Ihejiagwa, Esq., I.I. Chukwuocha, Esq., Joy Anohobi, Esq. &Emereonye Ugochukwu Louis, Esq. and others.

“They were there for the collection of certified true copies of February 25th, 2023 Presidential election materials for inspection.”
