Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has supported the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) E-Naira policy, describing it as a step forward towards improving the apex bank cashless policy.
This was contained in a Statement signed by, Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Chief Press Secretary to Kano Emirate Council.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero stated this while welcoming the Director in charge of CBN Kano branch, Muhammad Hamisu Musa, who paid him a courtesy call at his palace.
The Royal father maintained that the E-Naira policy will go along way in minimizing unnecessary spending as well as multilating or squeezing of the naira note in the country.
He added that the process will also improve commercial activities and banking transactions hence the need for the CBN to address network problem being encountered in that direction.
Alhaji Aminu Bayero reiterated the traditional institution’s readiness to support any move that will pave way in improving the socio-economic well being the citizenry.
In his remarks, the CBN Kano Director, Hamisu Musa said they were at the Palace in order to intimate the monarch on the measures put in place to educate the larger public on the advantages attached to the policy and the need to accord their support and cooperation as his word Rome was not built in a day.
