Ethnic Traditional Rulers In Kano Congratulate Governor-elect Abba Kabir Yusuf

… Urges Him To Maintain Peaceful Co-existence

Rising from an extra-ordinary meeting on Thursday, the Ethnic Traditional Leaders Forum, Kano state,  has congratulated His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, on his election as the Governor-elect of Kano state.

The Forum comprising of non-native Traditional Rulers resident in Kano, urged the Governor-elect to maintain the peaceful co-existence being enjoyed in Kano state as he prepares to take over the mantle of leadership as the number one citizen of Kano, come May 29.

The Monarchs include: His Highness, Igwe (Dr.) Boniface Ibekwe—- Eze Ndigbo (iv) in Kano (South-East),  His Highness,  Oba Murtala Alimi Otisese—Oba Yoruba in Kano (South-west), His Highness, Alhaji Abubakar A. Obochi—Ada Idoma of Kano (North- Central), His Highness, Deacon Fred Akhigbe—Enogie (11) Sarkin Edo, Kano (South-South).

Addressing journalists shortly after the meeting, chairman of the Forum, Igwe Boniface Ibekwe said, “we, the Ethnic Traditional Rulers In Kano state, from South-East, South-West, South-South, and Northern Minority, congratulate the Kano State Governor-elect, His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, over his victory at the recent gubernatorial poll, expressing confidence that His Excellency will deliver the best for the state. 

” We believe that His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf possesses the required leadership qualities to take Kano state to greater heights.

‘We write to  congratulate  the Governor-elect, while praying for the sustenance of the prevailing peace in Kano state vis a vis the already existing peaceful co-existence between the ethnic nationalities and the host community.”

The Monarchs also look forward to, “a very robust inclusive administration. This is a task we beseech Allah (S.W.T) to ease for Your Excellency.

” As fathers to all, it is imperative we do everything legally possible to support the enduring success of the administration of the Governor-elect.

” We are confident and convinced that Your Excellency will deliver on your promises to the good people of Kano state, and the Nation in general.

” We beseech Allah (S.W.T) to guide, guard, protect and ease the task of governance for the Governor-elect.”
