PCRC wants more youths involved in safeguarding Nigeria

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has urged youth to be more involved in safeguarding the country.

National chairman PCRC, Mogaji Olaniyan stated this during inauguration of the national youth committee at the police headquarters in Abuja, yesterday.

He said the committee will continue to explore every nook and cranny of the country to sensitize the populace on the need to support police efforts in curbing criminal activities in the society.

Olaniyan noted that youth involvement in security matters will strengthen the work of security agencies, especially the police.

“Youth form the majority of the country’s population, with this inauguration they will be able to penetrate every corner in the country. All students union and higher academic institutions are fully involved”

The national youth coordinator, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Tunji Junaid said the focrum at which the country will stand lies with the youth.

He explained that, “if we want the country to stand or crumble, it’s depend on us the youth. So, we have to be on the part of prosperity by promoting ideas that will be of held to all of us.

“I am happy not because of the position but because of the involvement of youth in safeguarding their country by joining the PCRC”

According to him, the committee had already outlined how it will be operating to support police at all levels in protecting lives and property.

Junaid said genuine youth at all levels will be involved to participate in the community policing exercise.
