Prophetess Ijeoma Ikweatu, also known as Adazion, is a woman of humble beginning but who has blossomed to greater heights because God equipped her for the task ahead. In this interview with JOHN SILAS, the Southwest Editor, she reveals that she is a woman of many parts, prophecy, healing, philanthropy and all the more music, as she revealed she is the composer and singer of the popular ‘Carry me de go my husband house’ song: Excerpts:

Can we meet you?

My name is Prophetess Ijeoma Ikweatu Agu, I am from Obeagwu 1 in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State and by the special grace of God I am a married woman. And I am a mother of many children. To the glory of God, it is the lords doing, my area of work,  I am good in singing and worshipping God, in fact I enjoy worshiping God, I enjoy giving him what he cannot give to himself. At the same time I have a ministry, my ministry is in Lagos State, while I have branches all over the world. My ministry headquarters is at 20/22 Lawrence Omagbemi Street, Powerline Busstop, Ejigbo. To the glory of God, it is all about winning souls for Christ, when I say winning souls, I am talking about salvation, because our salvation is very important for the last day so that we will be able to meet God one on one. To the glory of God, healing is also ministered there and God made name for himself, deliverance as well, restoration and revival. We are everywhere, by the special grace of God, our branches are all over the world: Imo State, Abia, Enugu, European countries, US, Asia, and God is really really winning souls for himself to the glory of God.

Tell us the name of your Ministry

The name of my ministry is My Redeemer Liveth Zion Adoration Ministry

You are also known as Adazion, what inspired you to take up that name?

People used to know me with Ijeoma, if you ask my workers they would say, if you are giving prophecy your name is Ijeoma, but when it is singing, Adazion. So people know me more with Sister Ijeoma. But between 2018, 2019, I was just alone and something came to me and say ah, you know you are a daughter of Zion, I just began to answer the name, especially on my Facebook page, Adazion IJ.

How did you start, I mean, how did you get the calling?

When I was growing, by the age of 12 years, I began to hear from God, I began to see that God wanted to make use of me, and my mother revealed the prophecy that was given to them before I was conceived that their first child would work in God’s vineyard. I think the first miracle God used me to do is the miracle of a young man that ate poison, then I was still a child, the first miracle God used me to do was recorded at 17 years, He said bless the water and I blessed the water, when the young man drank from the water he vomited the poison and he was made whole. The second miracle was my younger sister, the same mother, the same father, she had been to different hospitals, and God said bless the water and she will be made whole, and God healed her. The third one was my uncle’s son, he was afflicted with arrow of short life, and he died in my hands, but God resurrected him to the glory of God. At the age of 17 years he began to direct me, that is how I came across blessing water, I bless water a lot, because when I bless it, it does miracle, kidney will be restore, I don’t know how God do it but the only thing is that when I hear the testimonies I like it.

How do you convince an ordinary person that indeed this is a miracle from God?

I have somebody that is a Moslem, he never believed in Christianity but God healed him and made him to believe, but the most important thing is when God did it people don’t have choice than to believe, whether Christian, whether Moslem, when you see what God has done, you will be marveled to believe. By the special grace of God, in my ministry I have Moslems that I impacted and they turned to be Christians when they see what God is doing. So in my ministry I can testify that I have Moslems, even in my online followers, somebody said I am a Moslem, a strong one but this woman made me to believe in Christianity, and by the special grace of God, they have once carried a Moslem who cannot work, came to the ministry, after the prayer, he was healed and he return back again to testify that he came here and God healed him, so when God did his own thing, whether believer or unbeliever, they will know that it is the hand work of God.

With all you have been doing, people don’t know you that much, why are your activities not publicized?

You know nothing announce people than social media or media people, so much that people would go as far as to pay money so that media can carry them, because if you are not carried nobody will recognize you, you will be known in that area where you perform the miracle, but to go worldwide, nobody will know you. Though my ministry has been there, by the grace of God, we are heading to 10 years, and in this 10 years I was not online, nobody knew me online, people started knowing me online when I entered online, I entered online in 2018, December and since then people began to know me as IJ, although most people know me with the song ‘carry me de go my husband’s house’ or ‘Okechi’ so most people don’t know me as a prophetess but it was the song that announced the name, from 2018, 2019 till date my name came to be known because of social media. I believe that when you are growing in the ministry, lack of sponsor, lack of support can make you not to push the word far the way you would want people to know about it, but by the special grace of God, God is making name for himself, people have started knowing about me now that I am in the social media.

What are some of the challenges you have encountered in the mission?

Challenges in this work, I will say financial support was my first challenge, because it came to a point I could not pay my ministry rent, I could not sort out my needs, eat or do some things that I needed, clothe myself, it came to a point that I did not have supporter, I did not have helper, even to wear clothe to attend church, what I would wear people would be laughing at me, look at what sister is putting on, but all that did not make me to change my mind from where I was going, my first goal was just to serve God, win souls for him, so what I wore that time was not really a problem, and I had the challenge of paying my ministry rent, then I was paying N150,000, to pay ministry rent became a problem, nobody to support, nobody to assist, to a point I was given a notice to quit. In short, I was in the middle of nowhere, but today, to the glory of God it is no longer the same, I believe that patience is the key, it took me time to rebuild and God began to bring helpers; that was my first challenge, my first challenge was finance.

Then my second challenge was that, you know in this work there is a lot of temptations, as a young lady, so many temptations, people say, you don’t bring people to your ministry, you need to bring Pastors to minister; it is not that I don’t bring, I bring  when it is necessary. I have had so many challenges, temptations, people would come; they leave the preaching they came for and begin to look for your body. You know you are a woman, tall, somehow God give you small beauty, so you know so many temptations will be coming, and you know the flesh is not strong. I think that is the second challenge.

The third challenge, you know, everybody must not love you, people that do not love you would be looking for a way to bring you down, but to the glory of God, last last, they would still believe there is God.

Some women want to equate themselves with their husbands, you are already a role model, what is your advice to your fellow women out there, especially in the face of the present economic challenges?

To the glory of God I will not say that I am old, I am still a little child, but it is not about little, it is about wisdom and knowledge, to whom much is given much is expected. I will actually say this to women out there, they should be calm, they should know how to tolerate, tolerance is the word, every day is not father Christmas, a man that does not have today may have tomorrow, I don’t believe that money can be an issue in a marriage, a marriage where there is no money you can soak garri and be happy. I love a happy home more than a money home. To every woman there I say they should embrace a honey home than a money home, for honey is just a sweet thing, but money can fade away, but when a home is honey money will come. Do you know some time women have a high luck than men? When you are the woman out there with high luck than your husband or favoured than your husband, don’t take it as an advantage, it was given to you to improve and equip the man, support him with it wholeheartedly. If you have one million, I believe that when I have one million, and my husband is a barrow pusher, I believe that I am very stupid. But I believe that if my husband is equipped, he can help my ministry. So when you have millions and your husband is still a beggar, you are given him one, one Naira, no it doesn’t make sense to me. Our stars are not the same, there are some women that their stars are higher than their husbands’, there are some men their stars are higher than their wives’. So women when you are opportune to be a blessing to your husband, do it wholeheartedly, don’t do it for you to be in authority, for a woman is not meant to be in authority, a woman is meant to be submissive in her home, and the man is meant to be in authority. In some cases, some women, their husbands do not have and they do not have, just manage it, it is a matter of time. I used my family story as an example, we suffered as we were growing up, eight people living in one room, it was not easy for my parents, to eat was a problem, but one thing our mother taught us is that what she have, we should be satisfied with it, we should not look at what other people have, and we lived with it and we grew with it. To the glory of God, God later changed the table, today we are okay, not that we have everything, but we are fine. We are no longer dying in hunger like before, but though we were dying in hunger we did not steal. My mother did not push my father to go and steal, my mother did not end up sleeping with men so as to put food on the table, so they should calm down, life is stage by stage. There are so many women today I want to still let you know, if your husband did not make it your children will make it, that is how destiny is, what your husband did not give you, your children will give you. It takes only patience, just keep pushing. In short, keep praying for your husband, be advising your husband and keep encouraging him that things will be better, it will make your husband not to put hand where he should not put hand, he will know that this my wife is a supportive wife, supportive is not all about money, but by your words of encouragement, and by the special grace of God, at the end of the day this family will live together to say, indeed this is the finger of God.

How do you touch lives through your ministry?

I will say it is by the grace of God. Naturally I am the type of person that has soft mind. I don’t like to see people cry over what they need. I can give you my last card, naturally, apart from having a ministry. Then having a ministry is a plus to it. I will say in my ministry I have widows forum where I take care of widows, give them food, I can go to hospitals, pay for people that are in the hospitals that do not have money to go home, discharge them to go home. I visit prisoners, I go to motherless baby homes, orphanages. Then individuals that have house problems, I can support with what I have. If I have, maybe needs of 250,000, 200,000, 300, 000, I can help, but if I see, it is up to 1million, I did not have, I can give half of what I have to support, by the special grace of God through the help of my members all over the world, not by my power, because who I am today is through their assistance and their support. So through their support I am helping out the little way I can.

And by the special grace of God, I just woke up one day and said I want to build a free school for children of the widows, and I bought the land, that was last year, but I have not build it, because I am not financially capable now to do it, buy I will do it because it is the covenant that I have signed with God, to give them a good life.

I bought the land in Owerri, Imo State, when I have the money I will start it, I want to start, not that if I call people now they will not support, but I want to lay the foundation before people can come in, so I want to have the money and lay the foundation, and now tell people for people to see before they come in, and make it a reality.

How is your programme like?

My service is on Thursdays, whether I am there or I am not there, because at times I travel, every Thursday is my midweek service, then every second Friday and third Friday in a month is my night vigil, I don’t do Sunday church, on Sunday I go to my church.

Why do you not have a church?

I told God that since you want me to work for you, I want to work for a prayer section, and not a church section, I was born and raised in Catholic, I am a catholic. So every Sunday I go to Catholic church, others go to their various churches
