Sanctions should be placed on Israel for occupying west bank

The Palestine envoy to Nigeria ,Amb. Abdullah M Abu Shawesh has said there should be sanctions against Israel for occupying the west bank.

Ambassador Abu made this known to news men in Abuja on Wednesday.

He noted that countries across the globe did not hesitate in placing degrees of sanctions on Russia over the invasion of Ukraine noting that no measure has been in place to check the inhabitation of Palestinian west bank.

He further stressed that justice cannot be taking for granted.

The envoy highlighted that Palestine has not given up on the struggle of reclaiming her territories as the government continues to seek partnership and collaborations with nations across the world.

He appreciated the efforts of Nigeria and Africa as a continent and called for more actions.

The envoy was optimistic that the media will play a key role in amplifying Palestine call for justice.

Ambassador Shawesh said that Palestine has aligned with the United Nation and already making efforts to be enlisted at the international criminal court of justice (ICJ) is a milestone in the pursuit of her freedom.
