Tinubu writes NCP leadership, seeks support, counsel

Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has written to the leadership of National Conscience Party (NCP) to continue to provide support and counsel in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities.

According to a release signed by the Acting Chairman (NCP), Comrade Waheed Lawal, the National Deputy Chairman, Pastor Peters Omoragbon, and the General Secretary, Comrade Adebola Lateef, the President also acknowledged the support and solidarity of the party.

Tinubu made his request known through his Chief of Staff, Honourable (Dr) Femi Gbajabiamila in an Acknowledgment letter to the party’s leadership which was dated June 22, 2023.

Recalled that the National Conscience Party was the first political party in Nigeria to congratulate President Tinubu on his emergence as the President of Nigeria and his subsequent inauguration.

The President while acknowledging the letter sent to him by the current leadership of the NCP, said he is profoundly grateful for their kind words of commendation.

The letter from the Chief of Staff read in part, “I, on behalf of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, wish to thank you most sincerely for your warm congratulatory message and felicitation.

“The president is profoundly grateful for your kind words of commendation, support, and solidarity. It is his hope that you will continue to provide support and counsel in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities

“Please accept the assurance and warm regards of His Excellency, the letter stated,” the letter read.
