Nwachukwu optimistically disclosed this on Thursday in Wakawaka Sports Extra, Global FM Sports radio programme monitored in Owerri by the Sports Desk of The Authority Newspaper, while soliciting for support from the fans of the club as well as sponsorship from Philanthropic Imolites and corporate bodies.
The General Manager who showered praises to Governor Hope Uzodimma, for his Shared Prosperity and 3 R administrative mantra’s unflinching support to sports development and transformation in the State, also applauded him for assigning Ministry of Sports, Youths and Social Development to Hon. Emeka Okoronkwo, whom he described as “an icon in sports administration”.
He also informed of the plans of the management of the Naze Millionaires as Heartland FC, Owerri is popularly called to attend a thanks giving service at E-De Work Catholic Church Adoration Ground in Ezinihitte Mbaise so as to appreciate God and re-dedicate the entire team to Him, ahead of the 2023/2024 NPFL season expected to commence in September, 2024.
According to Nwachukwu who’s also the Secretary of the Welfare Committee of Nigeria Premiership CClub “When we were about to start the NNL, I told Imolites that the league was operation bring Heartland FC back to the premier league which finally we have done.
“This time around what the Imolites should see is operation get a continental ticket for Heartland FC.
“I’m not a Catholic, I’m an Anglican. The first time I went to E-De Work Adoration Ground, I went there with faith and can tell you that all the things we prayed for happened. I don’t joke with that place. It can only be God that made us to achieve what we did.
“This time around, before the league kick starts again, we will go back to that place and thank God. We are planning to do that soon.”
Update, Nwachukwu pledged to return the Owerri-based side to the continent after a successful outing in the lower division, where they ended the league unbeaten.
