Enugu State Governor, Mr. Peter Mbah, on Friday paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja over development and security of the State.
Details of the meeting were not made available to the press, while a press statement is yet to be issued by the presidency.
However, the Governor has always showed eagerness to explore all avenues to uplift the wellbeing of residents of Enugu State.
He had expressed the eagerness of his administration to collaborate and partner with the federal government and international agencies in regard.
Mbah earlier outlined vision to transform Enugu from a public sector to a private sector-driven economy and attract private sector investments that can help raise the State’s GDP from the present $4.4 to $30 billion through this process.
Towards this, he met the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Shubham Chaudhuri on Wednesday at the Bank’s country office in Abuja.
He equally participated actively during the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Kassim Shettima on Thursday.
Also in search of peace and security in Enugu State and the Southeast region, Mbah had visited the President weeks earlier to seek the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
