Reps mandates FERMA to address collapse of bridge in Delta State

The House of Representatives has mandated the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FERMA) to urgently address the bridge collapse in Uzere-South Local Government Area of Delta State.

In a motion of urgent public importance, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi (representing Ndokwa/Ukwani Federal Constituency) of Delta State, noted that the collapse of the bridge has affected movement of of vehicles, transportation of humans and goods which has also affected the growth of economic development in the State.

The House in another development has set up an adhoc committee to unravel the remote and persistent cause of violence in Ogwuaniocha Community in Agbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State.

Hon. Victor Oghene (Anambra) who led the debate in a motion of urgent public importance noted that if not treated with urgency, this violence will continue and affect more Communities in the state.

Speaker of the House of representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen who presided over plenary today referred the matter to the committee on National Emergency Management Agency NEMA.
