The village Head of idu in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Muhammad Bawa Makama, has drawn the attention of the FCT minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, to the future of the children.
He spoke at the celebration of the children at the celebrated of 2023 Independence Anniversary.
Congratultating him on his new appointment as minister and urging him to replicate his achievements in Rivers state as a governor in the FCT, he appealed to him to ensure that the welfares of the children are taken care of as leaders of tomorrow.
He said if they are taken proper care of, it will help the children in the governance and government of the country in the future as the leaders of tomorrow.
Commending the minister by carrying the FCT chiefs along, knowing fully well that the it is through the chiefs the government gets to the people, he however appealed to the minister to make education affordably available to the children. He said that with accessibility to education, for the interest of the children, the leaders of tomorrow will not find it difficult to govern the country in the future.
Drawing the attention of the minister to health sector, Chief Muhammad Bawa Makama appealed to the minister to promote the health centre in his domain into a general hospital.
He said that with the expansion and thick population in his domain and farness of general hospital to those in his domain, the answer to health problem in Idu, according to him is expansion of the health centre to a general hospital.
