Executive Director of the group, Amb. Hilary Onah who address the press on behalf of the group said the Senate President has carried his colleagues along in decision making process irrespective of party afflictions or ethnic or religious background.

He said “We pass vote of Confidence on the senate president of Nigeria, Sen. Godswill Akpabio for his qualitative leadership in the 10th National Assem. Senator Akpabio has ensured peace, unity among senators, cordial relationships with the Executive and good legislations that have contributed immensely in the smoth running of the government aimed in providing good welfare to all citizens.

“After a wide consultations among Nigerians to access the leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio in the 10th National Assembly we make bold to say that he is the best performing senate president in the history of Nigeria counting on the litany of achievements 10th national assembly has recorded.

“His style of leadership where every senator is carried along in decision making process irrespective of party afflictions or ethnic or religion. Every senator is equal and dully respected.

“The 10th National Assembly needs all our support. The senators are doing good work to promote Nigerians unity and ensure the welfare of the masses. We warn against internal wranglings by some senators. Gang up against the senate president can not do us any good. We encourage all the senators to always support Senator Akpabio in the good work he is doing in National Assembly.

“We condemn in totality the comment made by the ousted senator from Adamawa state, Senator Elija Abbo against the senate president. We view that statement as evil, a crime against humanity, unity of Nigeria, insult to Nigerians and the smooth running and existence of the Executive, legislative and Judicial arm of the government. Senator Abbo statement is highly inciting and derogatory.

“We call the Senator Elija Abbo to make a public Apology to Nigerians immediately or we go to court. Nigerians should stop being selfish and should always respect the rule of law. Nigeria belongs to All.”
