Former Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura has expressed optimism about the trajectory of Nigeria’s future under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, and asked Nigerians to be patient.
He bared his mind to State House correspondents on Wednesday after his meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.
Al-Makura commended the President for his dedication to the betterment of the nation and the transformative vision encapsulated in the “renewed hope agenda.
He said: “I’m here to visit Mr. President. I was opportuned to have an audience with him, a very fruitful audience.
“And I seized the opportunity to congratulate him and commend his efforts for the great work he’s doing and the hard decisions he has to take in order to move this country forward.
“I had a very wonderful discussion with him, and given his disposition and vision towards making this country great.”
The former governor highlighted the key areas where the “renewed hope agenda” is poised to make a difference, primarily in the realms of security and economic development.
He observed that tangible progress is already evident, showcasing sustainable growth and progress in these sectors.
Regarding security, Al-Makura acknowledged the comprehensive efforts being made to address the concerns and fears of Nigerians.
He also noted the administration’s dedication to enhancing the economic well-being of the people.
He called for patience among Nigerians, expressing his belief that the administration’s vision and policies will soon yield positive outcomes, benefitting the nation as a whole.
