Guber polls: Kogi PDP youths commend INEC’s credibility

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) youths have expressed their profound gratitude and also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free fair, and credible election in the state.

In a solidarity movement, yesterday in Abuja, the Convener of Kogi New Generation, Comrade Richard Otitoleke commended INEC for orchestrating a peaceful, credible, and fair election in Kogi state.

Otitoleke emphasised on the positive shift from previous elections characterised by violence and malpractice.

He urged losers to follow legal channels and praises security agencies for ensuring a peaceful electoral process.

Also speaking, Oladele John Niyi, Vice President for Youth in the whole of Africa, echoed the sentiment, stating that the election met legal requirements and minimum standards.

Niyi highlighted the rejection of certain candidates, including Dino Melaye, the PDP governorship candidate, attributing it to voters’ lack of belief in them.

He insisted that INEC’s handling of the election deserves praise.

Also, David Oluwa Kayode Emmanuel, PDP Youth Leader from Kabba Bonu Local Government, commended INEC for a credible job in Kogi State.

Emmanuel appreciated the transparent election process and credited INEC Chairman Mahmud Yakubu for a well-done job.

He noted the significance of INEC’s intervention in PDP’s primary process, leading to a more competitive and fair election.

Overall, these voices from different youth leaders in Kogi express gratitude for INEC’s role in conducting a transparent election, while also acknowledging the positive influence of security agencies.
