Senate confirms Olaopa, others as FCSC chairman

The Senate Tuesday approved the appointment of Prof. Tunji Olaopa and others as the chairman and members of Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) respectively.

The confirmation was done in line with the report by Sen. Oluwole, Cyril Fasuyi (Ekiti-North), the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters, seeking for the confirmation of the chairman and the members.
Those confirmed along with Olaopa as Chairman were Dr. Dauda Ibrahim Jalo, member representing Adamawa, Gombe and Tararba states; Obong Ededet Eyoma, for Akwa – Ibom, Cross – River states; Dr Chamberlin Nwele, for Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu.
Others were: Rufus K. Godwins, representing Bayelsa, Rivers and Delta; Aminu Nabegu, for Jigawa and Kano; Dr Adamu Hussein, FCT and Niger; Hindatu Abdulahi, Kaduna and Kano and; Shehu Aliyi, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
The rest were Odekunle Rukiyatu Aduke, to represent Kogi and Kwara; Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, for Lagos and Ogun states and; Dr Boniface Oyebade for Osun and Oyo states.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, enjoined the chairman and his members to be selfless in performance of their lawful duties.
