Sen Ekwunife dismisses purported planned to decamp to APC

The former senator representing Anambra Central senatorial district in the red chamber of the National Assembly, Sen Uche Ekwunife has dismissed the purported planned to dump the PDP and decamp to the All Progressives Congress (APC)

The former senator’s position was contained in a press statement signed by Tony Ezike, SA, Media and Strategic Communications to Iyom Uche Ekwunife and made available to journalists,  

The purported dismissed planned political rally/reception was billed for Friday.

The statement read thus, “The attention of Senator Uche Ekwunife Media Team has been drawn to trending, unconfirmed reports about the senator’s purported reception at the Anambra State APC party secretariat on Friday 01/12/23.

“Our principal Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife CON is a veritable asset to any organization or political platform she finds herself, so it is important for people to get proper information about her political views and activities through the designated communication channels.

“This is to inform the general public that there is no official directive emanating from Senator Uche Ekwunife’s Media office, inviting people to any political gathering as wrongly reported.

“For the records, it is common knowledge that Senator Uche Ekwunife has been a registered member of APC several months ago, so it is not a new thing. In that regards she will be meeting with other stakeholders of the party on Saturday 2nd December,, 2023 to discuss issues concerning the party.” 

Ezike appealed to the members of the public to kindly disregard any other information that is contrary to his update.
