The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has disclosed that the batch ‘A’ Stream 1 Corps Members would pass-out on December 15th, 2023.
Activities lined up before the Passing-Out date include: sensitization of the Corps Members on job creation and opportunities after service by seasoned NYSC and NDE Officers.
This was made known in a press statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, that “the low-key event would be climaxed by the distribution of Certificates of National Service to only the deserving Corps Members at the Local Government level”.
According to him, the NYSC Director-General, Brig-Gen. YD Ahmed, appreciates the Corps Members for their selfless services and numerous contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.
He urged them to bring to bare, all the lessons they learnt while serving, especially the skills they acquired through NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme and start their businesses wherever they choose to stay after service.
Meanwhile, on the issue of the safety of the Corps Members, the Director-General advised them to be security conscious at all times.
“Dont expose yourself to danger. Reject the temptation of free rides and don’t travel at night, NYSC wish you a successful post-service life,” he stressed.
