Tinubu working hard to revamp Nigeria’s economy – Akume

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, said president Bola Tinubu’s administration has been working hard since he came on board to return Nigeria’s economy on the part of progress.

He said the sorry state of the economy was inherited from the previous administration.

Akume, during a Thanksgiving Mass , organised in his honour by St. Augustine Catholic Tiv Community, Abuja Archdiocese at Nyanya, said Tinubu Inherited a bad economy.

He , however, assured Nigerians that the President was working assiduously to reposition and revamp the economy for the greater prosperity of all Nigerians .

The SGF explained that the present government has taken some critical, hard decisions that would ultimately benefits the ordinary people across Nigeria.

According to him, the Tinubu led government is committed to the walfare and well – being of all citizens and would continue to do all within the armbit of the law to improved the living standard of Nigerians.

Akume also urged the Christian faithfuls and indeed, Nigerians to pray for the President and the success of his government.

He said ,President Tinubu is a strong believer of the indivisibility of Nigeria and recognises the nations’ diversity.

He stated that all actions of the president reflects the diverse nature of the country.
Akume, appealed to Nigerians to support the current federal government: saying that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Administration is on cause as the seven vital components of the scheme is being religiously implemented.

The SGF further explained that appointments into the government is inclusive and in line with Tinube desired to promote choshiveness.

In his homily, the Axuerly Bishop of Abuja Archdiocese, Most Rev.Anselm Umoren, admonished those in leadership positions to always remember the interest of the less privilege.
He, advised Akume to strive and impact positively on the lives of his associates.

He also advised that the SGF , should mentor people that would sustained his legacy of generosity.

In his remarked at the reception, the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Archdiocese, Most Rev Ignatius Kiagama extols the virtues of Sen. Akume and said the Church will continue to pray for him and the government he serving.

Kiagama described Akume as one of their own and urged his political associates not to over pressurised him so as he will continue to serve the nation.

The occasion was witnessed by close associates of the SGF,, including a business tycoon, Prof. Babatunde Bolaji, Hon. Mathis Byuan.

Other where, the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation ,Prof. Joseph Utsev, and National Assembly members among others well wishers .
