All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Umar Ganduje, declared on Tuesday in Abuja that his purported suspension from the party by some persons claiming to represent his political ward in Kano State is akin to a Nollywood movie on the popular’Africa Magic’ television channel.

He spoke at the party headquarters when he received Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chapters in the 36 States and that of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja who paid him a solidarity visit.

Ganduje pointedly accused the Kano State government of writing and executing the script about the suspension, out of fear of the expansion of the APC in the State.

He however, assured his guests that he and the national party leadership would not be distracted by such moves.

“Our attention cannot be divided and we shall not be distracted. We know our objectives as a party and we are forging ahead”, he said.

Acting chairman of the APC State Chairmen Forum and Lagos State Chairman of the party, Cornelius Ojelabi, led the delegation to the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Ojelabi said they were in Abuja to show Gandule that they are solidly behind him, and would not allow him to be disgraced out of office on flimsy grounds like was done to some of his predecessors.

He said it was more embarrassing that those behind the “attempted coup” are not members of the APC.
“What they wanted to do was a coup but the coup has failed. We are here to show that we are solidly behind you any time any day”, he declared.
Meanwhile, same Tuesday, Kogi State Governor, Ododo, presented the report of the committee headed by him that conducted the APC governorship primary election in Ondo State at the weekend.

The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, won the election.

The report contained the results from the 18 local government areas of the Satet and other observations to guide the party’s leadership.

Ododo thanked Ganduje for finding him and other members of the committee worthy enough to be trusted with the assignment, and assured him that the exercise was free and fair.
