NA workshop for Inspection and Compliance ends in Makurdi

The Director of Inspections and Compliance, Office of the Chief of Staff (COAS), Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Jallo, has said the directorate has built the capacities of 90 Nigerian Army personnel on inspection and compliance.

Maj. Gen.Jallo disclosed this during the closing ceremony of a three day workshop organized by the directorate for Nigerian Army personnel on Thursday in Makurdi.

He expressed optimism that the officers had gained a lot from the workshop, stating that they would surely bring the knowledge they gathered from the workshop to bear on their jobs.

The Director said the aim and purpose of the workshop was achieved as participants’ response was highly encouraging, adding that, he personally gained a lot from the workshop.

“The mere fact that we have at least 90 Nigerian Army Engineer Officers seated for the workshop and we have been conversing for the past three days is enough message that we have passed down to them”.

“Our facilitators delivered broad and
excellent lectures. I encouraged you the officers to sustain collaboration with them,” Jallo said.

He further thanked COAS, Lt Taoreed Lagbaja for not only authorizing the workshop but for also allowing the directorate to host it in Makurdi.

He disclosed that the decision to host the workshop in Makurdi started two to three months ago when he came for supervisory visit in Makurdi.

Maj. Gen. Jallo also said that the target audience of the Nigerian Army in the building sector were in Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering (NASME), Makurdi, stressing that their number necessitated the hosting of the workshop in Makurdi.

Meanwhile, some of the participants who spoke to the The AUTHORITY commended COAS and Jallo for organizing the workshop to build their capacities, stressing that it was quite an enriching and rewarding experience.

They pledged to put the knowledge that they had acquired from the workshop to bear on their responsibilities.
