Minister assures investors of Government support

The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle has reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to protecting citizens, infrastructure, and investments in Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a press release signed by Barr. Henshaw Ogubike, Director, Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Defence.

He said the Minister stated this during a working visit to Dangote Petroleum Refinery on Saturday, 1st June 2024.

He said the Minister commended Aliko Dangote’s bold investments in Nigeria, which will boost the economy, create wealth, and generate employment and assured Dangote and other investors that their investments will be protected in the country.

“The Minister described it as a viable investment that the Federal Government will provide security to maintain high production levels.

“Furthermore, he commended Dangote’s patriotism and courage in investing in Nigeria, thereby boosting the economy through wealth creation and employment generation.

“He described the refinery as the biggest in Africa and assured of maximum security around the facilities.

“Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Refinery, thanked the Minister for the visit and reiterated his commitment to the Nigerian project, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for improved lives through wealth creation and employment for the youth.

He said Dangote informed the minister that the refinery will meet 100% of Nigeria’s refined product requirements and have a surplus for export, creating a market for $21 billion per annum of Nigerian crude.
