462000 Less Privileged People Benefit From Ganduje Foundation Free Medicalcare

No fewer than 462000 less privileged people have benefitted from the Ganduje Foundation Free Medicalcare in recent times.

The President of the Foundation, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje also promised to keep alleviating the sufferings of the poor masses with his personal resources through the channels of the Foundation.

Dr. Ganduje who is also the Governor of Kano state stated this in Kaduna, during the Rotary District 9125, Zone 3 Foundation Lunch held on Saturday.

Ganduje who was represented at the occassion by Kano State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso, said the Foundation will not relent in its efforts to bringing succour to the less-privillaged.

He reiterated the Foundation’s commitment towards the execution of developmental programmes in targeted communities within Kano State and beyond, which are specifically designed to empower, promote and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of the less-privillaged and the vulnerable persons in the society.

The President of the Ganduje Foundation further explained that since the establishment of the Foundation in 1996, it has consistently been rendering various forms of assistance to the needy in the areas of education, healthcare services, youths and women support programmes and provision of vocational skills, among others.

He pointed out that, since its inception the Foundation has also undertaken many humanitarian community projects that have direct impact on the general wellbeing of the people.

Giving reference to the Medicare support component, the foundation provided free eye treatment to the less-privillage especially the rural dwellers to more than 287,000 beneficiaries with various eye challenges across the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano state.

According to him, they were successfully treated and provided with required medications and recommended eye glasses.

Similarly another batch of 175,000 people with bilateral eye issues like Cataract and Trachoma underwent free surgeries, “they have since thrown away their sticks and can now see and walk freely,” he added.

Earlier, in his welcome remarks, the District Governor of Rotary District 9125, Dr. Goddy Nnadi, mni, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Ganduje and the Ganduje Foundation, for coming up with a highly sensitive innovations and ideas that have impacted positively on the lives of the common man, aimed at rebranding the lifestyle of the teeming populace.

The District Governor, therefore, presented the Foundation Lunch Award Rotary District 9125 to Governor Ganduje and also registered him as AKS member “Arch Klamp Society.”
