The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, met with APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda on Tuesday to arrange a briefing for the party’s National Working Committee on President Bola Tinubu’s infrastructure achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The meeting focused on fixing a date for Umahi to formally present the administration’s progress in road and bridge construction nationwide, projects that have drawn commendation from across different sectors.
Umahi commended Yilwatda for introducing a process that allows ministers to appear before the National Working Committee on live broadcast to account for the administration’s progress and results. He also praised the chairman for the peaceful conduct of recent party primaries and the committee’s inclusive approach, which allowed aspirants to contest freely.
Responding, Prof. Yilwatda applauded Umahi for the ongoing transformation in the infrastructure sector and assured him that the National Working Committee would soon invite him for the formal presentation.
He noted that even before the official briefing, committee members and Nigerians have been following the administration’s infrastructure drive through television reports, public feedback, and visible projects across the country.
Umahi reassured Nigerians that the Tinubu administration remains committed to tackling national challenges while sustaining critical infrastructure development nationwide.
Immediately after the meeting, the minister proceeded to Eko Bridge to assess and address a developing situation there.
