Badaru assures Operation Hadarin Daji troops of support

Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has assured troops of 213 Forward Operating Base, Operation Hadarin Daji of governments commitment to equipping and training them to enhance combat readiness against insurgency and terrorism.

Barr. Henshaw Ogubike, Director, Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Defence disclosed this in a press release on Wednesday.

He said the Minister stated this when addressing the troops at the Base in Katsina.

“The Minister acknowledged President Tinubu’s significant successes in the fight against insurgency and related crimes. He urged the troops to continue the fight against insurgency and banditry, commending their sacrifices and commitment.

“Regarding the recent incident involving the killing of soldiers in Abia State, the Minister reassured of the government’s determination to bring the perpetrators to justice and prevent such incidents from happening again.

“Air Commodore G.I. Jibia, Commanding Air Component, 213 Forward Operation Hadarin Daji, appreciated the Minister’s visit, stating that it would boost troop morale.

“Earlier, the Minister held an interactive discussion with officers and men of the Headquarters of the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army and Sector 2 Joint Task Force Operation Hadarin Daji, Katsina, to assess their preparedness in responding to insecurity threats in the region.

“The Minister also visited the Nigerian Army Medical Center, Katsina, where he sympathized with military personnel injured during combat operations.”
