The Chairman of the House Special Ad-hoc Committee on the restructuring of government agencies, parastatals and commissions Hon. Isiaka Ibrahim says the current review exercise is to enhance efficiency in the Civil Service to enable it meet current realities.
Hon. Ibrahim made this known at a press briefing with members of the House of representatives press corps in Abuja where members briefed the media on the progress and challenges it has encountered so far in the exercise.
He says the committee will revisit the recommendations of the Oronsaye Report and other White Papers to ensure that the President Tinubu’s administrations structures aligns with current realities, best practices and the changing needs of the Nigerian society.
The committee further allayed fears over loss of jobs by Civil Servants due to the ongoing review.
