Meeting : Gov. Mbah hosts PDP governors in Enugu

The Enugu state Governor, Dr.Peter Mbah, yesterday welcomed some of his colleagues elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who came for a crucial meeting of the party,holding in Enugu today, Wednesday, July 18.

Among the governors who were welcomed by Governor Mbah at the Government House, Enugu, were the Chairman of the Forum and governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa-Ibom, and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta,.

Others were Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, and Governor Ahmed Fintiri of Adamawa.

The Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and his Bayelsa State counterpart, Senator Douye Diri, were still expected as at the time of filing this report.

Although the agenda of the meeting is yet to be made known, the forthcoming party congresses, the Edo and Ondo states governorship elections, the internal challenges facing the PDP and the state of the nation are expected to dominate deliberations.

The governors who have arrived were treated to a cultural night organised in their honour, by the host governor, Dr. Mbah.
