The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Professor Saadatu Hassan Liman has poured encomiums on the National Youth Service Corps Scheme for its unrelenting efforts of empowering Corps Members with vocational skills that would make them self-reliant.
She stated this when she led the management team of the institution on a courtesy visit to the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed in his office in Abuja.
The VC commended NYSC for its numerous assistance to the University and also lauded General Ahmed for his transformation strides since assuming duty as the Director General of NYSC.
Professor Liman, who was the team leader from the University that signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NYSC in 2023 on Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development promised the readiness of the institution in fostering more stronger synergy with the Scheme.
In his response, the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed congratulated the Vice- Chancellor on her appointment, while he added that the Scheme is always ready to partner the institution on other areas of mutual benefits.
