The Prime Minister of Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, Simon Ekpa has alleged that the Nigerian government has concluded plans to sever diplomatic ties with the government of Finland.
Ekpa disclosed this in a statement on his official X handle on Thursday.
According to the Biafra agitator, who is based in Finland, the development comes amid several failed attempts to seek his extradition.
He noted that Finland has a better future with the emerging government of Biafra.
“The Nigeria state has run out of options and ideas that they have concluded to close the Finnish embassy in Abuja and cut ties with Finland. Finland will have a better future with the emerging state of Biafra than whatever the terrorist Nigeria state can offer.
“Norway closed their embassy in Nigeria long ago, their Embassy is now in Ghana, they lose nothing but the burden of sorting fake and forged documents relieved”, he added.
However, Nigeria’s government has yet to comment on the development when filing this report.
This comes after the Finnish government barely eight days ago ruled out a political solution to the extradition of Ekpa. Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen disclosed this after a visit to Nigeria alongside Nordic Ministers including Sweden, Iceland, and Norway, on August 14, 2024.
Ekpa had recently alleged a fifth attempt by the Nigerian government to assassinate him in Finland.
