Governor Ododo lauds Yomi Awoniyi on 64th birthday

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Architect Yomi Awoniyi, former Deputy Governor of the state and a key leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mopa-Muro Local Government Area, as he marks his 64th birthday.

In a message commemorating the occasion, Governor Ododo commended Arc. Awoniyi for his pivotal role in mobilizing support for the state’s administration. He praised Awoniyi’s commitment to Kogi State’s development, describing him as a mentor and an exemplary leader whose contributions continue to inspire the next generation of leaders.

The Governor’s message, conveyed through a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, highlighted Awoniyi’s efforts in maintaining strong support for the policies and programs of the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Governor Ododo acknowledged the positive impact of these policies on the government and people of Kogi State.

Governor Ododo also offered prayers for the former Deputy Governor’s continued health and long life, emphasizing that Awoniyi’s wisdom and guidance will remain invaluable to the future of Kogi State and the nation.

Architect Yomi Awoniyi, born on September 4, 1960, is the son of the late Chief Sunday Awoniyi and Madam Florence Awoniyi, both of Mopa-Muro Local Government Area in Kogi State. He served as the Deputy Governor of Kogi State from January 2011 to January 2016.
