The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen has made a new appointment to his team. Malam Iliyasu Muhammad Balarabe has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration).

Balarabe replaces Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad, who recently resigned to contest for the chairmanship seat of Zaria Local Government in the upcoming council polls in Kaduna State.

A seasoned grassroots politician, Balarabe brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He holds a (link unavailable) Degree in Geography from Bayero University, Kano, and has worked in various capacities, including teaching, lecturing, and administrative roles.

Balarabe’s professional experience spans several institutions, including the Kaduna State Ministry of Education, Kaduna State College of Education, and Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria. He joined NITT in 2022 as a Staff Development Officer.

The new Deputy Chief of Staff (Admin) is expected to assume office this week and bring his expertise to bear on the Speaker’s office operations. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the Speaker’s team.

With his wealth of experience and grassroots political savvy, Balarabe is poised to make a significant impact in his new role, supporting the Speaker in his legislative and representational duties. ‎
