The traditional rulers of the 12 communities in Achi, Oji River local government area of Enugu state, have congratulated the newly elected chairman of Oji River local government area, Hon. Greg.Anyaegbudike and his deputy, Barr. Seith Nwokolo, tasking them to see their election as a call to duty.
The monarchs who operate under the aegis of Achi Traditional Rulers Council, tasked the Oji River Council chairman to replicate the disruptive innovation agenda of Governor Mbah geared towards socio economic development of the state in Oji River council area.
In a press statement made available to ‘The Authority’, signed by the traditional ruler of Adu-Achi,vHRH Igwe Sunday Ozoemena Orah,vwho doubles as the Chairman of Achi Traditional Rulers Council, the monarchs expressed confidence that Hon.Greg Anyaegbudike will utilise his experience acquired both in the government and Non governmental sector to bear in his administration of Oji River Council area.
The. onarchs promised to give him and his vice, Barr Nwokolo their total support to achieve results and urged them to embark on projects that will impact on the lives of the people.most especially the rural dwellers.
The statement read in parts, “We rejoice with you on your succesful election as the new executive chairman of Oji River lobal government area.We have no doubt that you will bring your experience and capacity garnered both in the government and non governmental sector to bear in your administration of Oji River council area.We assure you of the maximum support of Achi Traditional Rulers Council, in this regard.
“We trust you will see your election as a call to duty and will be highly committed and dedidated to serve the entire people of Oji River local government area, working harmoniously with your deputy Barr.Seith Nwokolo. The people of Oji River is expecting the best from your team in the onerous task of economic emancipation of our rural dwellers from poverty and stirring development of Oji town”.
The Achi Traditional Rulers Council commended Governor Peter Mbah for the various laudable projects in the state and appealed to him to consider siting a befitting modern hospital complex in Achi, so as to curtail the problems of the 12 communities in particular and other towns in OII River in coming to Enugu to acess medical attention.
