NABTEB Releases 2024 NBC/NTC Examination Results

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially announced the release of the 2024 results for the National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations.
The announcement was made on Thursday by NABTEB’s Acting Registrar/CEO, Dr. Nnasia Asanga, at the board’s headquarters in Benin.

Dr. Asanga highlighted the prompt release of the results as a significant achievement, reflecting the board’s dedication to advancing education, particularly in the area of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

“This timely release of results showcases the management’s steadfast commitment to improving education, especially within the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector. It will be highly beneficial to candidates who are looking to use their results for admission into tertiary institutions,” Dr. Asanga stated.

Out of the candidates who sat for the NBC/NTC exams, 44,000, representing 65.34%, achieved five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics. Additionally, 62,235 candidates, or 92.42%, obtained five credits or more with or without English Language and Mathematics.

Dr. Asanga also pointed out a slight decline in performance when compared to the 2023 results. In 2023, 73.19% of candidates secured five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, while 92.43% of candidates passed with five credits or more, with or without the inclusion of these two subjects.

Despite the minor dip in performance, the 2024 results demonstrate continued efforts to promote TVET education and ensure that candidates are well-equipped for future academic pursuits.”
