The member representing Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency of Kano State, Hon Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, has expressed his gratitude and confidence in the Nigerian judiciary after the Court of Appeal in Abuja dismissed the culpable homicide case filed against him by the Kano State Government.

This ruling upheld the earlier judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which acquitted him of the murder allegations.

He emphasized that his win against the Kano State Government demonstrated the judiciary’s independence and commitment to justice.

This case has been ongoing since 2019, with the Federal High Court initially clearing Doguwa of the murder allegations in suit no: FHC/ABJ/714/2019, dated December 5, 2023. Additionally, the court imposed a N25 million fine on the Kano State Government for defaming Doguwa’s character.

Doguwa sees this judgment as a testament to the strength of Nigeria’s judicial system and an opportunity to prepare him for greater leadership challenges ahead. He has urged his constituents to celebrate this victory by thanking Allah and maintaining peace and order.

Doguwa’s experience highlights the importance of the judiciary in ensuring justice and protecting the rights of individuals, particularly those in positions of power. The Nigerian judiciary has faced challenges in the past, but this case demonstrates its ability to uphold the law and hold governments accountable.

The House of Representatives, where Doguwa serves, plays a crucial role in Nigeria’s legislative process. As one of the 360 members, Doguwa’s constituents rely on him to represent their interests and ensure their voices are heard.

Doguwa’s statement emphasizes the significance of the judiciary in Nigerian politics. The National Assembly, comprising the Senate and the House of Representatives, has a vital role in promoting democracy and good governance in the country.

In conclusion, Honorable Alhassan Ado-Doguwa’s victory in the Court of Appeal is a significant milestone in his political career and a testament to the strength of Nigeria’s judicial system. As he prepares for greater leadership challenges, his constituents and the nation look forward to his continued contributions to the country’s development.
