Collaborate with Gov Soludo, group tells NASS members

From Isaac Ojo Awka

Soludo Unity and Human Development Advocacy (SUHDA) has appealed to Ndi-Anambra who are members of the National Assembly to collaborate with Gov Charles Soludo.

The appeal was contained in a press release signed by the Director General (DG) of the group, Prince Victor Uba Udeh-Ubaka made available to journalists on Sunday.

SUHDA said that rather than dragging the administration of the day for no just cause, the members of the National Assembly should rather cooperate and collaborate with Gov Soludo in his efforts to transform Anambra State.

The group also tasked the members of House of Representatives and Senators from Anambra State to ensure that they are not lost in the crowd at NASS which they noted can only be done by attracting projects and programs to the state.

SUHDA also congratulated Gov Soludo on the successful and peaceful conduct of Local Government Area elections in the state.

The group recalled with relish that Gov Soludo, during the electioneering campaigns promised to conduct the LGA polls which had eluded Anambra State for so many years.

“He made this unique promise to conduct the LGA polls long before the Supreme Court judgment that mandated all the States of the Federation to ensure a democratically elected Chairmen and Councillors at the Council Areas was adjudged.

“The Anambra State House of Assembly has also signed into law the 2024 LGA bills which to all intents and purposes are meant to maintain equilibrium and stability in the running of our dear State and the Council Areas.

“The philosophy of Gov Charles Chukwuma Soludo not leaving anyone behind as the Anambra State is moving toward Eldorado is worthy of commendation.

“SUHDA, as an Advocacy Group were on ground during the LGA elections and we wish to congratulate ndi Anambra and residents alike for their peaceful disposition before, during and after the so much expected election.

“It is indeed another giant step forward and we expect the persons who didn’t win this time around to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and at the same time urge the victorious Chairmen and Councillors to be magnanimous in victory.

SUHDA noted that by doing the above, it would be a case of no winner, no loser and Anambra State will be the ultimate winner.
