FCT Water board apologises to residents over disruption in supply

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Water board has apologised to residents recently affected by disruption in water supply in some areas of the territory.

In a statement issued on Monday, the acting General Manager, Mr. Daniel Audu, said the interruption was caused by emergency works by the contractor on a major pipeline that broke.

It explained that the incident took the board unwares prior to announcements to prepare the mind of residents.

The statement assured the consumers that proactive steps will be taken to prevent future happenings.

Audu expressed gratitude for the customers’ patience throughout the period of the disruption.

He said the board’s engineers have since rectified the issue.

The statement reads, ” we appreciate Abuja residents, particularly our customers for their understanding during the recent water disruption that affected various parts of the territory.

“The disruption was caused by the rupture of a major pipeline due to contractor-related works.

“We assure the public that proactive measures will be taken to prevent future occurrences and expresses gratitude for the public exceptional Patience throughout the period of water disruption”.
